Dana Pocasangre, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in pediatrics, urgent care, and family practice. With more than a decade of caring for children and families, she has become known for her thorough, evidence-based approach and her ability to help both parents and kids feel at ease.  Before becoming an NP, she spent many years as an ER nurse in busy, fast-paced hospitals, gaining broad experience with a wide range of medical situations and developing a calm, steady approach to patient care. Dana is also recognized for her clear communication and supportive education, helping parents feel understood during both everyday questions and more stressful moments.

As both a provider and a mom, Dana brings a deep understanding of the worries, questions, and hopes that come with raising healthy children. Years of commuting to care for families across the Hill Country inspired her to create a clinic closer to home— one built on warmth, accessibility, and family-centered care. She is passionate about partnering with parents, empowering them with clear guidance, and caring for every child as if they were her own. Inspired by her own experiences raising children while serving her community, Dana founded Hummingbird Pediatrics to bring a higher standard of accessible, relationship-based care to Llano and the surrounding Hill Country. 

Outside the clinic, Dana enjoys life as a wife and mom of two young children. Her family stays busy with her kids activities and sports, weekend adventures, working out, traveling, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors. Being active and present with her kids is one of the most meaningful parts of her life. 

Dana's care philosophy blends evidence-based medicine with gentle, thoughtful communication and a strong commitment to parent education. She believes families feel more confident and empowered when they understand the "why" behind symptoms, treatment decisions, and what to expect next. Taking time to break things down in a clear, reassuring way is central to how she practices. 

She takes great pride in offering personalized, relationship-based care. Dana's goal is for families to feel like they’re talking to someone who genuinely cares—almost like a trusted friend who also happens to be their child’s provider. Parents often share that she is knowledgeable, approachable, calming, and someone their children genuinely enjoy visiting.

The relationships Dana builds with families are at the heart of everything she does. Her approach blends clinical expertise with compassion and communication, and a deeply held belief that parents deserve clarity when it comes to their child's health. She believes great pediatric care begins with trust, communication, and a true partnership with each family. 

Dana is passionate about creating a medical home that feels supportive, personal, and rooted in kindness—one where families feel welcomed, understood, and genuinely care for from the moment they walk in. 

Jenn serves as our Patient Care Coordinator and is often the friendly voice and welcoming face families first encounter at Hummingbird Pediatrics. With over 26 years of experience in healthcare administration, and the insurance industry, she brings deep knowledge, calm expertise, and a strong commitment to making every visit run smoothly. She's dedicated to building meaningful rapport with patients and their parents, often in forming lasting relationships, grounded in trust, compassion, and exceptional customer service.

As a resident of Llano for the past five years, Jennifer relocated from the San Antonio area and has embraced her country community. She recently married her husband, but a proud marine veteran. Outside of work you can find Jennifer at home spending time with her husband, her sons and her she also loves taking motorcycle rides along with her husband all over the scenic Hill country and dancing at her favorite Honky-Tonk in Llano, sundown.
